Why the basis matters more than the percentage

"5% rakeback" can mean 5% of everything you stake, or 5% of the house edge you generate. On $10,000 of European roulette turnover the first is $500 and the second is $13.50 — a difference of nearly forty times, described by the same two words.

The first definition is the one crypto casinos generally use, and it is genuinely valuable: 5% of turnover against a 2.70% edge would be a positive expectation, which is precisely why real programmes attach the high rates to high VIP tiers, cap the monthly amount, exclude some games, or pay a fraction of a percent at the levels most players actually reach. Check the real rate at your level rather than the headline.

Rakeback beats a deposit bonus for roulette

A deposit bonus has to be cleared through wagering, and roulette usually contributes 10–20% of each bet toward that requirement. Rakeback has no wagering, pays on turnover regardless of outcome, and does not care which game produced it.
