Session Cost Calculator

Expected loss is a percentage of turnover, not of your deposit β€” and turnover accumulates far faster than people expect. Put your own bet size and pace in, and see the cost per hour.

Live tables run 30–45. RNG and auto-play can exceed 200.

Identical bet size, identical pace, four different prices. The choice of table is made before a single chip is placed and is worth more than anything you do afterwards.

Turnover is the number that matters

A player who deposits $200 and plays $10 spins for two hours has not risked $200 β€” they have staked around $1,000. The house edge applies to every one of those dollars, which is why the expected cost is calculated from turnover and not from the deposit.

This also explains why pace matters as much as stake. Two hundred spins an hour at $5 generates the same turnover as fifty spins an hour at $20, and costs the same. Auto-play is expensive not because it changes the odds but because it multiplies the number of times they are applied.

Three levers, in order of size

  1. The wheel. French even-money at 1.35% against American at 5.26%: a fourfold difference.
  2. The pace. Halving spins per hour halves the cost per hour exactly.
  3. The stake. Linear and obvious, and the one people reach for last.

Bet selection is not on the list. On a single-zero wheel, straight-up and red/black cost the same per unit staked.
